Marsha Johnson
Johnson was an afroamerican transgender activist who had great popularity in the gay scene and performing arts in New York between 1960 and 1990. She was one of the largest and best- known drag queens at Stonewall was present, as we know an icon of the LGBTI movement. The brawl ocurred at Stonewall in June of 1969 to date came after the pride march worlwide.

This is a doubtful book with a sarcastic tone that seems to address the issue of transsexualism as a disease since medical science gestated and brought to its mediation by the effecto of capitalism and globalization. To raise such serious criticisms of transgender identity, their approach is brief, shallow and seemingly insidious.

ILGA-LAC Regional Conference (2010)
ILGA’s 5th Latin American and Caribbean Regional Conference will be held in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil, on January 27th to 30th 2010. This Conference aim to define strategies for the promotion of human rights, citizenship, health and culture of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender and intersex people in the Latin American and Caribbean Region for the period 2010-2012.
